This was supposed to be when North Texas was going to make its big push for the West title, but instead, it’s hanging on to hopes of bowl eligibility for dear life.

The passing game has been fine, but it hasn’t been dominant. The offense as a whole has been good, but it hasn’t been consistent. The problem has been a defense that can’t seem to come up with a key stop.

Even with all of the issues, with Rice and UAB left to play, win out, get a little luck with two Southern Miss losses and another Louisiana Tech loss, and the Mean Green are …

On the flip side, Louisiana Tech can’t clinch the West with a win – UAB is still in the mix – but it can come close.

The Bulldogs haven’t beaten anyone but Southern Miss, but they’re doing what they’re supposed to against bad teams. The passing game is solid, the offensive line has been great, and they’re going to show the offensive consistency that UNT won’t.

The Mean Green will throw well, but they won’t be able to keep up as Tech will control the tempo of the game throughout.

The race for the Western Division crown is heating up in the final stretch of the regular season and Saturday’s showdown between Conference USA divisional rivals Louisiana Tech (7-1, 4-0) and North Texas (4-5, 3-2) will play a big role.

With a win over the Mean Green, Tech could further supplant its leading position in the West as it would earn another tiebreaker against a squad that’s still in the running for the top spot. A victory for North Texas would hand the Bulldogs their first conference loss and make the scene much tighter for the division race.

UNT will enter Joe Aillet Stadium will a great sense of urgency as it needs wins in two of its final three regular season games to reach bowl eligibility, something Louisiana Tech achieved three weeks ago with its 45-30 win over Southern Miss.

North Texas (4-5, 3-2 C-USA West) needs two wins in its final three games to be bowl eligible and potentially make a fourth straight bowl appearance. The Mean Green picked up a key and needed a win in that quest last Saturday with a 52-26 rout of UTEP.
Mason Fine arguably won the weekend in all of college football with his in-game and post-game performance. Fine threw a career-high seven touchdown passes and finished with 332 yards while completing 24 of 39 passes, then became a viral sensation for doing his post-game press conference in a dinosaur costume.

I was proud of him,” coach Seth Littrell told the Denton Record-Chronicle about Fine showing a lighter side. “College football is a year-round job and is a grind. If you don’t enjoy it and have some laughs, it can be even more of a grind. It showed his personality. He likes to have fun.”

Fine clearly does not have a short arm as he also surpassed 12,000 passing yards in last weekend's victory. He is seventh in the nation with 2,609 yards and tied for third with 27 TD passes. Fine is four scoring tosses shy of matching his single-season career-high of 31 set last season and nine short of becoming the 26th player in FBS history with 100.

Tre Siggers, who leads North Texas with 713 rushing yards, could be more of a workhorse in this game with DeAndre Torrey doubtful. The Mean Green have been hit hard by injuries this season, losing starting wide receiver Rico Bussey and left tackle D'Andre Plantin earlier in the campaign.

The Mean Green's defense leaves plenty to be desired. They rank 105th in scoring defense at 32.4 points per game and have held only one opponent under 23 points. North Texas is yielding 416.8 yards per game, including 300.7 per contest through the air.

Marshall vs Rice Owls Live Stream free 2019 Online NCAA Collage football Live Score, video stream, H2H results

Marshall vs Rice
Date: Saturday, November 2nd
Game Time: 3:30 ET
Venue: Rice Stadium, Houston, TX
Network: Facebook Stream

The Marshall Thundering Herd head into Houston, TX for a battle with the Rice Owls on Saturday after a big win against Western Kentucky last week.  Kicker Justin Rohrwasser kicked a 53 yard field goal as time expired to give the Thundering Herd the win, 26-23.  Quarterback Isaiah Green had a decent day throwing the ball, completing 20 of 31 passes for 230 yards and a touchdown.  Green also ran 7 times for 12 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Broc Thompson recorded 3 catches for 91 yards and Armani Levias caught 10 passes for 77 yards and a touchdown.  Running back Brenden Knox ran the ball 19 times for 84 yards and was Marshall’s leading rusher.  The Marshall defense allowed 401 total yards in the game, but it was just enough to beat Western Kentucky.

On the year, Marshall is 5-3 and 3-1 in conference play.  Isaiah Green has now thrown for 1,607 yards, 11 touchdowns and 6 interceptions.  Brendan Knox has been a force on the ground with 137 carries for 803 yards and 7 touchdowns.  Armani Levias has been the most productive wide receiver and has 32 receptions for 346 yards and 3 touchdowns on the season.  Marshall has scored 27 points per game this season and is giving up 26.1 points per game.

Rice welcomes Marshall to their campus after losing their last game 20-6 to Southern Miss in a game where Rice’s only points of the game didn’t come until the 3rd quarter.  Quarterback Wiley Green completed just 12 of 26 passes for 104 yards, a touchdown and an interception and was simply shut down by the Southern Miss defense the whole game.  Sophomore quarterback Evan Marshman also saw action in the game, but didn’t do much better than Green.  Marshman completed 2 of his 5 passes attempts for 27 yards.  Running back Charlie Booker was also never able to get started as he carried the ball 10 times for just 28 yards.  Green’s touchdown pass was caught by wide out Austin Trammell who led Rice in receiving on the game making 5 catches for 52 yards and a touchdown.  If there is a silver lining to this game for Rice, it is the fact that their defense wasn’t terrible.  Although Southern Miss gained 364 yards, holding them to 20 points can be considered an accomplishment since they are averaging just over 29 points a game on the season.

Marshall got the win it had to have, and now it can’t blow the layup. It took down WKU last week to take the lead in the division race, but it still has Louisiana Tech next, a date at Charlotte, and FIU to close things out. This has to be a bit of a week off against a Rice team that’s not able to get anything going.

The winless Owls aren’t doing anything offensively – scoring 20 points or fewer in every game but the 31-27 loss to UTSA – with one of the nation’s least-effective offenses, not enough of a passing game, too many turnovers, and too many missed opportunities. However, they’re able to slow games down just enough to keep them close.

Marshall’s offensive line is playing too well. There’s a good enough running game to control the game, the pass rush is solid, and it doesn’t take too many points to put away this Rice team. The Herd will come up with two early scoring drives and coast from there.

With the loss, Rice drops to 0-8 overall and 0-4 in conference play.  To make matters worse, the Thundering Herd come into town playing some of their best football of the year.  On the year quarterback Wiley Green has thrown for 787 yards, 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Rice’s leading rusher on the year is Aston Walter, who has ran 110 times for 504 yards and 5 touchdowns, however, he is listed as doubtful for the game on Saturday. Austin Trammell is Rice’s is leading receiver as he has caught 42 passes for 524 yards and 2 touchdowns. Coming into Saturday's game Rice has scored an average of 15.9 points per game while allowing 29.1 points per game.

For my pick in this game, I have to go with Marshall and unfortunately for Rice, that means they will remain winless on the year.  The Rice offense simply isn’t good enough and will be taken down by the Thundering Herd defense.  Although Marshall is averaging giving up 389 yards per game this season, Rice only averages 277.9 per game so it will be a big opportunity for Marshall to bring that number down. Marshall wins this one 35-14 and covers the spread.

San Diego State Aztecs vs San Jose State Spartans Live Stream Free NCAA Collage Football on Facebook Watch

Week 8: San Diego State (5-1, 2-1)vs. San Jose State (3-3, 1-2)
WHEN: Saturday, October 19th — 4:00 PM PST / 7:00 PM EST
WHERE: CEFCU Stadium, San Jose, California
TV: Facebook Watch
RADIO: 101.5 KGB / XTRA 1360 / Fox Sports InlandEmpire (IE) 1350
SERIES RECORD: San Diego State leads 21-19-2 in the series.
LAST MATCHUP: October 20, 2018, | Aztecs won 16-13
ODDS: SDSU +8

This is a pivotal game for both teams. San Jose State is at home and is playingmuch better with the goal of just maybe staying in the hunt for a bowl game. There are two key items to watch for in this matchup.

Quarterback Josh Love has a chance to prove himself against a really good defense. He does have three games of more than 400 yards and is tied for the fewest interceptions in the conference with just two. One of those three happens to be Aztecs signal-caller Ryan Agnew.

San Diego State has been on a roll of late and is finally getting everyone healthy and one thing to look for in this game is Juwan Washington. He has been getting the carries since getting back into the lineup but he is averaging just 3.05 yards per carry and has just on touchdown.

This game vs. the Spartans is a chance for him to have a good game since San Jose State is allowing 4.53 yards per rush. So, there is an opportunity for Washington to have a big game.

San Jose State football has struggled the previous seasons but at the halfway point of the season, they are 3-3. They can thank the great play of Josh Love. This year, he has thrown for 1,832 yards for 10 touchdowns and two interceptions. This senior quarterback has really shined with his passing ability but has also done I great job of leading the Spartans. Love also has one touchdown on the ground. If the Aztecs stop Love and the Passing game it will be good for the Aztecs

Last week, Juwan Washington had a very strong game. It was his second game coming back from injury. He had 23 carries for 84 yards and one rushing touchdown. In the passing game, he had 4 receptions for 28 yards and one receiving touchdown. Washington has the ability to run about 100 or more yards per game when he is 100% healthy, and it has been a long time since the Aztecs have been able to rely on that option with him injured. Wth a healthy Washington, it will be good for the Aztecs.

Quarterback Ryan Agnew has been inconsistent this season.  He could look really in the first half of a game but in the second half could play like a whole different quarterback. It was evident in last week’s win vs Wyoming. In the first half he was 10-16 for 60 yards but in the second half was 11-16 for 149 Yards and two touchdown passes. If Wyoming is more consistent in the game for Spartans it will mean great news for the Aztecs.

If the Aztecs are more consistent on offense and if their defense stops the Spartans passing game, it will end likely in the Aztecs in the win column. Since the Aztecs have more skills and athleticism on their side, I belive the Aztecs will win.

This is going to be a clash of styles. San Jose State has been extremely effective through the air this season but they are rather leaky defensively. The Spartans are going to have to contend with a stingy San Diego State team here. The Aztecs had limited opposing teams to just 1.8 yards per carry on the ground before Wyoming ran 39 times for 157 yards last week. San Diego State is very good in protecting the ball, committing only three turnovers while forcing 14 takeaways on the year. The Spartans are going to have a tough time here and in the end, the Aztecs defense is too much to contend with: San Diego State gets the road win here.

North Texas Mean Green vs Southern Miss Golden Eagles Live Stream NCAA Collage Football 12 October live stream on FB

North Texas Mean Green more can be said here that hasn’t been mentioned in all the numerous articles about watchlists, record-breaking performances, and a revitalized North Texas football program?

In spite of a 2-3 record, the Mean Green come into this game 1-0 in conference and with high-flying performances from the offense. Even in their losses, UNT put up solid numbers against the likes of Cal and Houston, bookends to the thrashing they put on UTSA three weeks ago.

Through five games, Mason Fine has thrown for 11 touchdowns and 1,291 yards, leading the offense to average 33 points a game. Running back Tre Siggers, meanwhile, has been a gift, energizing the run game with 480 yards and four touchdowns over only four games (Siggers didn’t play in week one against FCS Abilene Christian). After a humbling performance against Houston two weeks ago, and coming off a bye week, the Mean Green offense will be fine-tuned and ready to begin conference play in earnest this week.

The tape doesn’t lie, and in this case, the tape tells an interesting truth: Over five games, both the Mean Green and Southern Miss have allowed an average of 30.4 points per game.

But these teams are hardly evenly matched, as North Texas has defended both the pass and the run about evenly this season, giving up 189.2 yards in the air and 189 yards on the ground, over these five games. Despite the high number of points, the Mean Green defense hits hard and will show some of that aggressiveness against the Golden Eagles on Saturday.

Southern Miss has a lot to feel good about, coming into this game. Fresh from a bye week, the Golden Eagles have the better record (3-2 (1-0)), and a quarterback who has put up even bigger numbers than Mason Fine.

Jack Abraham, only a junior, has amassed 1,515 yards and nine touchdowns so far this season, despite the two losses coming from stiff SEC competition. In week three against Troy, Abraham threw for 463 yards in an offensive shoot-out, showing the Trojans (and the world) what Southern Miss is capable of when things go their way.

Challenging the Mean Green defense will be top wide receivers Jordan Mitchell (369 yards, three touchdowns on the season), Quez Watkins (27.5 YPC average), and Jaylond Adams (332 yards, two touchdowns), as the Golden Eagles will also attempt to punch up their running game, leading with De’Michael Harris (176 yards and a touchdown on 39 carries).

The Golden Eagles will have their work cut out for them, and they’ll need to score on both the ground and the air if they want to shut down the Mean Green, and compete for a C-USA West title.

The Southern Miss defense has been dominant against the run, giving up an average of only 123.2 yards a game this year. That might be enough to slow down UNT’s Siggers, but it’s the average of 267 yards given up in the air that might be a problem for this squad.

As the day wears on, and the players get tired, we’ll find out if those numbers are an accurate representation, or just inflated by having Bama on their schedule three weeks ago.

There’s a lot to love about this game. Two explosive quarterbacks, two strong defenses, and two head coaches who have had a few years now to fine-tune their squad, as previously recruited players graduate away, leaving room for the new blood.

The game being in USM’s house doesn’t hurt, but at the end of the day those “points allowed” by air will likely sink the Golden Eagles, as Mason Fine will take advantage of any and every opportunity to break out big plays. Jack Abraham is an incredible quarterback, and will deserve all of his post-season accolades, but North Texas is the more complete team by now, and since taking over at UNT, Seth Littrell has never lost to Southern Miss, winning by more points every year, over the last three years.

Watch~NCAA~ Tulane vs UAB Live Streaming Free 2018 Online 15 Sept Collage Football Only On FB

Watch NCAA Tulane Green Wave vs UAB Blazers live streaming Free NCAA Playoffs Online, Saturday 15 September 2018, Time: 12 pm CT. NCAA online live with HD quality on PC, Laptop, iPhone, Ipad and Android over the Internet broadcast on FB.

I’ll make this fast. Both the Wave and the Blazers look to be in tip-top shape as far as injuries are concerned. Tulane is coming in fresh off a thumping of Nicholls and UAB is playing “bounce back” back after dropping one to Coastal Carolina last week. Moving on...

The Blazers will definitely not be wanting to pick up where they left off last week. The second half of Saturday’s game against the Chanticleers was dreadful for UAB as they gave up 27 unanswered points. So where do they go from there?

The first inclination might be to scream defense and rightfully so. Surrendering 47 points isn’t good at all, but let’s keep in mind their offense also did zilch down the stretch. UAB’s average drive length in the second half was 22.4 yards; those drives featured a punt, missed field goal, interception, turnover on downs and a merciful time expiration on the game. Needless to say, the offense needs to be better.

One way it can do that will be if the ground game can duplicate its showing from last week. Against Coastal, UAB ran for 286 yards and all three of their touchdowns despite no back reaching 100 yards. The Blazers will want to deliver a heavy dose of running back Spencer Brown who led the team with 94 yards on 20 carries a week ago.

Brown might find some difficulty against a Tulane defense that surrendered under 200 yards on the ground last week but the key will be to keep after it. If UAB abandons the ground game early out of frustration then they’ll make things easy for the Green Wave D. Brown will be helped out by teammates Kevin Davis, Kendall Parham and A.J. Erdely, all of which rushed for a score last week.

The crazy thing is none of those three guys are running backs and they have combined for 195 rush yards so far in this young season. This group can spread it out on the ground and will most likely do so this weekend.

UAB’s passing attack, though, leaves something to be desired. Against the Chants, quarterback A.J. Erdely completed just 46.2% of his passes for 149 yards and no scores. He’ll try to up those numbers this Saturday but it won’t be easy against Tulane’s defense that already has four picks this year.

Despite how well the Wave has generated turnovers, they’ve struggled in yards allowed. The Green Wave defense has averaged over 300 yards allowed per game by opposing passers and this is where the Blazers could find success. It’ll just be a matter of avoiding interceptions. Erdely has two so far this season.

Corey Dauphine. Yeah, all I have to do is say his name and you Green Wave fans know what I’m getting at. Tulane’s game plan should be feed it to him early and often. After his three-touchdown performance a week ago that featured 152 yards why wouldn’t you? Especially seeing as the UAB defense has already allowed 451 rushing yards this season.

The Wave won’t just rely on Dauphine though. Quarterback Jonathan Banks may very well break off one or two sizable runs of his own. Banks has carried it 24 times over the first two games. Then there’s Darius Bradwell and Stephon Huderson who combined for 114 yards last week against Nicholls State. The Wave offense has options aplenty on the ground and they will more than likely call on all of them. That is, after all, what a Willie Fritz offense does.

If there’s one thing the Wave will want to improve after last week, it’s getting the dynamic Terren Encalade involved more. Sure, Darnell Mooney carried the load for the receiving corps on Saturday but they can’t be a one-man team through the air again because, simply put, UAB is not Nicholls. The Blazers have a secondary that features lockdown corner Brontae Harris who already has an interception and two defended passes this year. Encalade won’t have it easy but he’ll need to play a bigger role if the unit can keep living up to its explosive potential.

The Wave offense will also want to replicate what Coastal Carolina did a week ago in terms of clock management. In the second half the Chanticleers held the ball for 18:53 of those final 30 minutes and, by doing so, gave UAB little opportunity to do much of anything. If the Green Wave can have a similarly dominant performance with time of possession then they could easily walk out of Birmingham with a win.

Watch!~NCAA Utah State vs Tennessee Tech Live Streaming Free Collage Football Only On FB with HD quality

Watch NCAA Utah State vs Tennessee Tech live streaming Free NCAA Playoffs Online, Thursday 13 September 2018, Time: 8:00 pm ET NCAA online live with HD quality on PC, Laptop, iPhone, Ipad and Android over the Internet broadcast on FB.

Surging Utah State will try to keep its early-season momentum rolling on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET against FCS opponent Tennessee Tech. The Aggies are 44.5-point sportsbook favorites, with the over-under for total points scored set at 63.5.

Before you make any Utah State vs. Tennessee Tech picks, listen to what SportsLine expert Kenny White has to say. The pioneering Las Vegas oddsmaker is widely considered one of the most influential figures in the Nevada sports wagering industry over the past several decades. He is the former head of Las Vegas Sports Consultants, which supplied odds to countless sportsbooks that made millions off his expertise.

White is a two-time winner of the prestigious Stardust Football Invitational and the originator of Player Power Ratings. He arrived at SportsLine armed with new algorithms, ready to exploit mistakes in betting lines. He has been leading SportsLine members to consistent profits in every sport since.

Last year, White was all over Utah State as a two-point home underdog vs. BYU. The result: the Aggies coasted to a 40-24 victory, and those who followed White's advice landed an easy winner.

Now, he has scoured all the key details of Tennessee State vs. Utah State and released a confident point-spread selection, which he is sharing over at SportsLine.

White knows the Aggies (1-1) have gained attention for their strong early performances. They impressed a national audience in their season opener at Michigan State. They played well from the outset and held a fourth-quarter lead before falling 38-31 as a 24-point underdog.

Last week, Utah State dominated New Mexico State in a 60-13 win to cover a 21.5-point spread easily. The Aggies took a resounding measure of revenge for a 26-20 loss to New Mexico State in last season's Arizona Bowl.

Utah State has looked explosive and varied on offense, led by rising sophomore quarterback Jordan Love and a balanced ground attack. Gerold Bright ran for 132 yards and a touchdown to lead a rushing attack that piled up 274 yards against New Mexico State. Love threw for 159 yards with one touchdown and an interception.

This doesn't mean Utah State can cover a spread that's over six touchdowns on short rest against a hungry FCS opponent. The Golden Eagles (0-2) have dropped their first two games by a combined score of 83-20. They are coming off a 49-10 home loss to FCS stalwart Kennesaw State, but they have some positives to build on. They took an early 3-0 lead with a field goal on their first drive of the game and the offense had success moving the ball.

Tennessee Tech finished on a high note when freshman quarterback Bailey Fisher threw a five-yard touchdown pass to Alex Carling in the fourth quarter. Fisher went 19-of-30 for 179 yards, while adding 38 rushing yards on eight carries. We can tell you White leans toward the Over, but he has unearthed the critical factor that will determine which side of the spread hits hard. He's only sharing it at SportsLine.
